UK billionaire to hold birthday party in the Maldives
Sir Phillip Green, one of the richest men in the UK, is to hold a special birthday party in the Maldives this Tuesday (13.03.07), reports say. On the guest list will be famous people like Michael Jackson, George Michael, Ricky Martin and top model Kate Moss.
Owner of Top Shop, one of the biggest retail chains in the UK for cloths, is no stranger to extravagant life style. Amongst the top items of the even will be an hour long performance by George Michael, for which he is to be paid 1.5 million dollars. A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Philip wanted someone with real wow-factor. He knows George will keep everyone more than entertained." He has also asked Ricky Martin to perform and it has been rumoured Michael Jackson will make a guest appearance, reports say.
Green is worth an estimated 7.2 billion dollars. The billionaire has told 100 friends to meet at London's Stansted Airport and prepare for a long-haul flight, which is widely reported to be held in the Maldives, according local reports in the UK. The guest list is hundred and they will be staying in a US$ 20,000 a night per room, according to reports.
